Literary and film characters came to life last week during Itawamba Attendance Center’s annual book fair character parade.

Itawamba County’s Parent of the Year Patty Chumblee and her daughter, D.J., a senior at Tremont High School, share a similar smile and love for each other. Chumblee was chosen to receive the award for her years of dedication to the school’s booster club, which she helped found, and PTO, which she is heading this year. (Adam Armour)
