Deputies with Itawamba County Sheriff's Department have arrested four individuals accused of conspiracy to manufacture crystal methamphetamine.
Robert Edward Ruble, 25, of 1144 Doc Stanphill Road, Tremont; Glenn Bradford Vinson, 24, of 2010 Alice Hall Road, Golden; Dustin R. Kelton, 29, of 23345 Highway 23 North, Golden; and Kayla Lynn Burney, 19, of 1920 Highway 16, Vina, Ala., were arrested on Oct. 27 and each charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and conspiracy to sell methamphetamine.
Each was given an appearance before Justice Court Judge Gerald Wallace and received a bond of $10,000. All suspects have been released from jail on bond, except Ruble, who remains in custody in the Itawamba County Jail.
According to Sheriff Chris Dickinson, the four suspects were arrested while traveling on Access Road in Fulton. At the request of the sheriff's department, officers with the Fulton Police Department stopped the vehicle, inside of which a "shake and bake" methamphetamine lab was allegedly discovered.
The sheriff said he believes the suspects intended to sell the methamphetamine.
Dickinson said the suspects have been under surveillance for weeks.
"These individuals have been under investigation for some time," the sheriff reported. "Some criminals are slicker than others; some are just lucky. Keep making meth, however, and we're eventually going to catch you."
Dickinson credited the combined efforts of the Fulton Police Department and his own office in making the arrests.
"Itawamba County's officers work well together, and this time it paid off," he said.
